8월의 늦은 날에...


풀잎은 풀잎대로
바람은 바람대로
초록의 서정시를 쓰는 8월의 늦은 날 

하늘이 잘 보이는 숲으로 가서
아이의 이름을 부르게 하십시오.

피곤하고 산문적인 일상의 짐을 벗고
동심의 샘가에서 눈을 씻게 하십시오.

물오른 수목처럼 싱싱한 사랑을
우리네 가슴 속에 퍼 올리게 하십시오.

말을 아낀 지혜 속에 접어 둔 기도가
한 송이 장미로 피어나는 8월의 늦은 날 

호수에 잠긴 달처럼 고요히 앉아
불신했던 나날들을 뉘우치게 하십시오.

은총을 향해 깨어 있는 지고한 믿음과
예수님의 생애처럼 겸허한 기도가
우리네 가슴 속에 물 흐르게 하십시오.

구김살없는 햇빛이
아낌없는 축복을 쏟아 내는 8월의 늦은 날 
깨끗한 아이들의 눈을보며,

우리가 새빛을 보게 하십시오.

욕심 때문에 잃었던 시력을 찾아
빛을 향해 눈뜨는 빛의 사람 되게 하십시오

저무는 여름의 끝자락에 서서
문득 지난 여름날동안 성큼자란

손자손녀들의 모습이 떠올라

사랑스런 그 이름들을 조용히 부르며

기도드리는...
